Liszt makes its beginnings of pianist virtuoso with the nine years age.

Its name is synonymous with virtuosity, but it would be a serious error to think that it is limited to that. 
If such had been the case, its music would have fallen for a long time into the most complete lapse of memory, 
like that of Thalberg.

It is enough to realize it, to attentively listen to the sonata in so minor.
It is not the work of a virtuoso, but of a true genius, upsetting, dramatic. 
This work only constitutes with it, a true encyclopaedia of the romantic piano.
